At the outset of a business intelligence project the team starts down the path of gathering detailed requirements from key stakeholders and the business community. A governance structure is established to review, consolidate and prioritize feature and reporting requests best aligned with operational and strategic priorities.

With requirements in hand, the BI team proceeds to execute on provisioning the required data and performing requisite mappings and transformations required to populate target data model structures.
