BackOffice Associates is the proud sponsor of three teams that participated in the recent Cape Cod Classic Senior Softball tournament, an annual six-day tournament featuring 55 teams from across the country as well as a team from Cuba. The BackOffice team’s won in the 70s, 75s, and 80s age brackets, pulling off an amazing triple championship weekend.

Overall, the BackOffice Associates 75s were six and one for the tournament, losing only to Providence in the first game on Monday, September 8, 2014. The tournament ran for six days with five different age classifications from age 60 to age 80 and above. For the first time, our 75s team was able to put together a 75s and 80s team from their regular roster. Nine players played on both teams over the six days.

Over three days, beginning on Friday, September 5th, the 80s team defeated teams from Worcester, Boston and Wallingford, CT. This was the first championship win for the BackOffice Associates 80s team (photo below), a good indication of great things to come in future tournaments.

The BackOffice Associates 70s team was one of three AAA teams in their division. They played the other two teams, one from the South shore, MA area and other from Warwick, RI, in seeding games on Monday, September 8th and won them both (10-9 and 14-5 respectively). The 70s team also played teams from New Haven, CT and New Hampshire in seeding games on Tuesday, losing to CT in extra innings (20-18) and winning against NH (20-19). The BackOffice Associates 70s team, pictured below, ended-up seeded #1 for the championship round on Wednesday requiring them to play only one game against the winner of the game between the other two AAA teams. The final game they played was against the team from RI which the BackOffice team won 13-4.

After their win on Wednesday, the BackOffice 70s team received kudos from many of the players on the opposing teams on not only their playing ability, but their sportsmanship. They have been playing the same opponents for a long time and they get the feeling those teams always look forward to the next chance to get to try and beat the BackOffice team, because they know it will be fun competition.

The three BackOffice Associates teams are a great group of unique athletes who proudly wear their BackOffice Associates uniforms. They are known all over the country as a world class organization, not only from their team name and uniforms, but as a result of their hard work, sportsmanship and team comradery. BackOffice Associates has been sponsoring this great group of guys for many years and wish them the best of luck at their next tournaments.
