Technology has rounded the corner in data governance. Large organizations are now adopting and embracing the idea of master data and why they should care about it. They are starting to evaluate if their data is in order and, if not, inspecting the reasons why. However, technology for data governance is still largely being supported in siloed applications - that is, you can apply technology for master data across products, OR master data across your customers, OR across your financials, etc. While master data management serves a fundamental purpose in supporting data governance, it needs to support all of the organization’s data, not just one or two facets . . .
