Information Governance Provider Receives Highest Score Possible in Project Management and Partners Criteria
SOUTH HARWICH, Mass. – March 9, 2016 – BackOffice Associates, a worldwide leader of information governance and data modernization solutions, today announced that it has been named a Strong Performer by Forrester Research in its independent report, “The Forrester Wave™: Data Governance Stewardship Applications, Q1 2016.”
The report evaluated seven providers that support the Data Governance 2.0 journey, which according to Forrester, “requires a focused involvement from business executives and subject matter experts rather than simply the technical or regulatory staff historically associated with data governance.”
Vendors were evaluated against 33 criteria grouped into three buckets: current offering, strategy and market presence. BackOffice Associates’ highest scores were in the project management, product strategy, installed base and partners criteria.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to receive Forrester’s recognition as a Strong Performer for data governance stewardship applications,” said Rex Ahlstrom, chief strategy officer of BackOffice Associates. “Forrester’s vision for data governance aligns with our long-standing philosophy of empowering business users to effectively utilize enterprise data to drive profitable and transformative business decisions across the full enterprise.”
For the report, Forrester evaluated BackOffice’s Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) capabilities, which include complete orchestration of the business process across data-intensive activities in migrations, data quality, governance and data archival. Offering a modern, web-based, single sign-on software platform, the DSP enables both business and IT users to manage all data stewardship tasks, from managing rules that standardize an organization’s data to correcting data errors and uploading harmonized data into new or consolidated systems.
